Kidrobot is seeking a Marketing Manager in its Boulder, CO office. The Marketing Manager is a key leadership role responsible for driving sales and communicating the Kidrobot brand story to existing and new consumers. The Marketing Manager is the marketing liaison between Corporate Headquarters, external partners and retailers, working closely with national key accounts, specialty retailers and international distributors to identify opportunities to communicate the Kidrobot story, increase awareness of Kidrobot brands and drive sales. This individual will be responsible for the development and timely execution of marketing activities and campaigns including, but not limited to: product launches, grassroots and PR events, advertising, strategic marketing partnerships, and in-store communications & signage.

The Marketing Manager will work closely with the Vice President of Product & Marketing, Ecommerce & Digital Marketing Manager, Marketing Coordinator, Sales Manager, and Creative Team to ensure all initiatives are consistent with corporate sales and marketing objectives and on-brand.  S/he will interface with Kidrobot’s sales team as well as retail buyers to develop marketing collateral and promotions tailored to each retailer’s objectives and requirements.

In addition to the above responsibilities, the Marketing Manager will lead the planning and execution of corporate marketing and industry/trade events. These events may not directly support a specific retailer, but are strategically important to build brand awareness and image. Examples include Product Release Events, San Diego Comic Con, New York Comic Con, Designer Con, Toy Fair, Licensing Show, Dallas Toy Preview and other events.


  • Lead development of the Marketing Strategy and tactical execution to achieve defined business objectives across all product categories
  • Develop wholesale marketing budgets and plans that support corporate marketing and sales objectives, and manage expenditures within budget
  • Establish and maintain/update marketing calendars that detail all events, promotions and activities planned for the year
  • Own responsibility for the development, execution, and performance of all programs (in-store signage, POP displays, print advertising) designed to increase in-store presence and consumer purchase
  • Own responsibility for Trade Show Exhibition including identifying and achieving event objectives; managing all aspects of booth setup, exhibition, etc.; daily events and PR
  • End-to-end management of events as well as the management of any external vendors, such as exhibit 
companies, that are utilized
  • Ensure alignment across the Sales and Marketing Teams on field sales needs and marketing initiatives across all product categories
  • Put in place, monitor and improve processes to link Marketing activities with the activities of the Sales team
  • Manage the marketing calendar, including all product release dates and events 
  • Organize and manage the marketing team’s deadlines to ensure all deliverables are on time 
  • Manage and plan the social media strategy & channels
  • Develop marketing collateral briefs for various marketing needs 
  • Manage coordination/logistics of events and trade shows including
    • Product Release and other events
    • San Diego Comic Con
    • New York Comic Con
    • Designer Con
    • Toy Fair
    • Licensing Show
    • Dallas Toy Preview
  • Coordinate with the sales team to make sure their needs are understood and incorporated into marketing plans 
  • Adapt to inevitable changes in timelines, deadlines and project goals
  • Content Creation for Blog including Product Release Blog Articles, Artist Profiles / Artist Q&A’s and 3-4 Additional Content Driven Blog Posts / week
  • Support the Forums by providing exclusive news and information to the moderator
  • Writing of Press Releases, product copy, Creative Briefs for Social Media / Specialty Content
  • Manage External Partnerships including:
    • Licenser Communication to Align Marketing Initiatives
    • Artist Communication
    • Brand Ambassador Coordination
    • Blogger/Unboxer Outreach
    • Key Influencers


  • BS in Business marketing or a related field of study
  • 3-7 years of experience in marketing, events and social media
  • Excellent organization and communication skills, with an exceptional eye for detail
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to solve problems in an efficient and professional manner
  • Willingness to do what it takes to see projects through to completion and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment
  • Collaborative team player that is able to work with multiple departments and work styles
  • Proactive attitude with an eagerness to learn
  • Must have knowledge of social media apps and platforms
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook and Powerpoint

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Adobe Photoshop Preferred
  • Interest in vinyl toys and pop culture
