About the Artist
Kenny Scharf is an American multi-media artist who came to fame in New York City’s East Village art scene in the 1980s. His career has spanned decades and he continues to innovate with constant creation, fashion collaborations, and exhibitions around the globe.
Scharf uses a variety of techniques that draw from many traditions to create hallucinatory worlds filled with color, form, and energy. His often-playful creations frequently have a darker side hidden beneath the surface, reflecting the dual nature of modern society. Kidrobot’s first collaboration with Scharf was on The Simpsons x Kenny Scharf Bart Simpson vinyl figure in 2015.
