Job Opening: Product and Apparel Development Intern (part-time)

Kidrobot is seeking a part-time Product and Apparel Intern in its Boulder, CO office.

Kidrobot is seeking a part-time Product and Apparel Development Intern for a six month internship. The Product and Apparel Development Intern is responsible for assisting with the basic responsibilities of the development process to aid the team in the creation of high quality product in accordance with production deadlines. This is a good opportunity for someone looking to gain on the ground experience with product and apparel development processes, timelines and responsibilities.

Some important details about the position:

  • This is a paid, part-time intern position at our Boulder office.
  • The hourly rate is $10 per hour with no additional benefits.
  • We ask for a commitment of at least 20 hours per week. We would ideally like someone in the office 3 days a week to start. There is a possibility to add more hours per week if necessary, which will be assessed at a later date.
  • Although graphic design skills are always helpful, this is NOT a design position. Our product development occurs post-design, and responsibilities are listed in the job description below.
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

      Working under the supervision of the Product Developer, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily:

    • - Manage sample receipt and return
    • - Photograph product samples
    • - Comment file creation / Document setup and Uploading
    • - Initial commenting at different stages of production (sculpt, prototype, color samples, packaging, etc.)
    • - Assist in editing tech packs
    • - Project reconciliation
    • - Measure Garments
    • - Enter measurements and spec updates in Excel
    • - Must be able to work as part of a team to support the overall needs and initiatives of the Development Department


      Candidates should possess the following education, experience and other qualifications before applying for this position:

    • - Excellent communication and organizational skills
    • - Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite in a Mac environment
    • - Deadline oriented
    • - Ability to manage workload amidst shifting project schedules
    • - Self-motivation and the ability to excel both under supervision and independently
