Job Opening: Creative Director

Kidrobot is seeking a Creative Director in its Boulder, CO office.

POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kidrobot is looking for a seasoned Creative Director to lead its Product Design and Brand Creative teams. The position requires an exceptionally creative and focused individual who is ready to infuse creative direction and vision, from concept through to execution, across multiple brand identities. The Creative Director will oversee product design and art direction across the entire spectrum of product creation, graphic design, copy and photography direction, pre-press and print production, and advertising projects for Kidrobot's multiple brands.

Strategic vision, passion for quality and the willingness to embrace the company culture in its entirety are a must. A wide variety of design deliverables will be part of day-to-day operations, and a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The ideal candidate is a leader and a decision maker responsible for the overall look, feel and overall creative direction of the Kidrobot brand. This creative mastermind possesses excellent leadership and communication skills, and is confident in directing the work of others.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• - Four-year degree in fine art, graphic design, or related field required; master's degree preferred
• - 10+ years of lead design, product design and art direction experience at a senior level
• - A talented hands on designer, highly conceptual thinker & clear communicator
• - Experience with directing product & graphic design, illustration, photography & copy writing
• - Deadline oriented, excellent communication ability, organizational and problem solving skills
• - Ability to supervise and train employees, organizing, prioritizing, & scheduling work assignments
• - A strong Collaborator, with a positive attitude and future vision
• - Knowledge of and sensitivity to trends influencing popular culture and design
• - Knowledge & maintained interest in art, design, fashion and apparel
• - Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
• - Ability to manage budgets, allocates resources, and meet deadlines
• - A world-class portfolio showcasing your experience
• - Knowledge of the brand, consumer and history of Kidrobot is a plus
